Pretty good blog post here at Austin Town Hall.

It’s the same stuff everybody’s saying when you talk to bands, bartenders, etc., but I’m not sure if it’s out there in the wild so much.

The Live Music Capital title means a lot of things to people, but to current residents who don’t spend a lot of time going to shows that probably means

  • cover bands spoiling your drinking by dragging that Toadies song out again or
  • national touring acts always coming through.

Bands like us do need people to come out, see a couple songs, buy a CD or a t-shirt, or at least say hey. Honestly… it doesn’t take a ton to keep most local bands going for a while.
